Hee hee! ^-^v Dinner's covered tonight. I talked to Lita and they still have lots of food left over from Christmas so I'm going over there tonight after leaving work and hanging out there for a while. I probably won't have have anymore pineapple cake, but oh wells! Lita also said that JT's enjoyed his games so far, so I'm glad to hear that! ^-^ I'm going to get her a $25 Gift Card from TJ Maxx and the Transformers movie after I finish my bills. I know she said not to get her anything, but she deserves something as much as anyone else! ♥ :D

Today was about as I thought it would be, but it's almost over and one more day to go, so I think I can make it...

Just finished talking to Lin; she's going to take the baby back to the doctor to get a referral. She says his itching is getting worse and now he's losing some sort of clear fluid and seems to be developing sores. *sighs* Poor baby...he's had it so rough these first 6 months of his little life...

*** HOME ***

Thanks to Nip/Tuck, I can never look at Frosty the Snowman ever the same. Why? Because on their holiday episode, both "Santa" and "Frosty" got shot. And the ironic thing even worse? When Frosty got shot, the other carolers - yes, there were a bunch of people dressed up in different holiday icons singing - were singing THAT song when he was being taken out on a stretcher. And even worse than that, I laughed my ass off for about 10 minutes straight over it!

I know...I'm absolutely horrible and have a very twisted sense of humor...and it can be twisted at times.

This was one of those.

...were some bath stuff, a cup and saucer set and some peppermint biscotti, I got my car insurance paid for a month and that's it.

No, my family doesn't do present amongst the adults. Only the kids get presents. We mostly do like bills paid or whatever to one another.

Boy, did we eat yesterday, holy crap and I went to two houses. Ok, like I had posted, I had a mini-breakfast over at my apartment yesterday morning about 9:30ish in which Kendrick, Little John, Lin and Sev came over. I served biscuits and pumpkin bread muffins. Sev armed herself with her coffee and everyone else had whatever they wanted to drink - the boys drank soda, blech x.o I had orange tea and lin drank milk with her muffins.

After they all left around 11ish something I went and lay back down for a bit before getting ready for the main event that afternoon. I finally got up about 1:15 that afternoon and getting JT's present and the sodas and whatnot and headed on over there.

By the time I got there, Sev had already had her portion as had Lita and Chet. They were very full and happy. ^_^ So I got my own plate, laden with some of the fried turkey, collard greens, turnip greens, potato salad, dressing, yams, and what was called chicken pastry. Then I had a cup of Pepsi to go with it. While Lita's trying to help me get my plate together, JT's screaming for her to come play with him - he got a bike, a scooter, a mini table hockey thingamabob, and a Hot Wheels racing set of some sort. So after she helps me and I sit down to eat, she goes and plays with him - he didn't have anyone to play with him since his cousins weren't going to be with us - and so while we're talking and everything, Sis is wondering where Lin and her crew is. I had it in mind to call them, but Lita beat me to the punch. She said that Isiah was a bit fussy and whatnot and at first Lin thought he might be getting sick, but he was ok, just itchy and whatnot - yes, he's STILL fighting his eczema - so they would be on their way.

After I finished eating - I enjoyed everything but the chicken pastry aka chicken n dumplings - Sis said she was going to go to our family friend's new house they just bought not too long ago - 5 friggin acres worth! >.< I couldn't begin to fathom such a thing.

Their new house is lovely though; however, they've had to renovate just about the whole house from top to bottom so the house if they ever sold it would most likely be about 3x it's original value. They had before and after pictures too. Oh, they're far from done with it though, but from what they've accomplished so far, it looked awesome. Their adopted son, Kyle, even has his own studio apartment over the 3 car garage that's set apart from the house. They used some of the old fixtures from what was in the house to set up his mini kitchenette and everything. He was quite excited. One of their other children is expecting her 4th child in May - they're hoping for a boy this time, but unfortunately none of them were in town this year.

They were having an open house and invited most of their neighbors that lived in the cul-de-sac where they were to come down and see the renovations and they had a good litle house party going on and they had snacks galore - coconut cake, cheesecake, chips and dip, lil meatballs & weiners, cookies and other sweets, apple cider, etc. I only ate a piece of coconut cake - had they taken out the cheesecake earlier, I would've had some of that too :x dangit...

So then, we went back to Lita's and Lin and the boys were chowin down while Lita was fretting over Isiah who was twitchin and itchin, poor baby. Lita was wondering about the scabs on his arms and legs and everything and Lin was telling her that she was doing what the doctor was telling her, but thinks she may have to just go to a dermatologist and see if there's something else they can do to get his skin to clear up more. Lita did get him to giggle a bit by bouncing him on her lap and having him 'dance' a bit. Lin said the Nabors got him a walker for Christmas, which I'm looking forward to seeing him in that, hehe.

I finally, finally, got my piece of pineapple cake! *_* Ahh, bliss....

JT showed us some of his educational card games he'd gotten from his grandparents in NY who'd sent him a set of them. It was like one box with 7 different types of card games in them - Go Fish, Concentration, Old Maid and things of that nature. He played a math-type game with Lin; I can't remember what it's called but what it is is that you divide the cards up between players equally, then you each put a card down and whoever's value is higher wins; if you have the same value, you go again and whoever's card is higher after you stop having ties, they take ALL those cards used. Then after all the cards are dealt out, you count your piles and whoever's pile is highest is the winner. Cute, huh? ^_^

We were all over there till about 6 something that evening and then finally left and went home. Fun was had by all and none of us took any food home even tho Lita said we could - I guess I just forgot :p *LOL*

I need to get my ass on my DDR pad...

I'm just waiting for family members to come over for breakfast and we'd hang out for a while before going to the MAIN EVENT! Hee hee ^________________^

I've been up since 7:05 a.m. and I did the following:

Washed my dishes

Dumped the trash

Swept my floors

Took a shower/did my hair

And now I'm listening to TAS in the background, but I need to run the trash out while I'm waiting...*zips*

I know for some of us, we still have another 11+ hours to go before that day is here, some of us are already celebrating the day, etc, but the message is the same all around ^_^

Third, here's random crap for me to spout about just because I can and because I know you people love me anyways...

Ok, last night I had a weird ass dream...it was something dealing with our current water situation, me moving into a house and then me being compared to Serena Williams. *laughs* I'll try to recall as much as I can...it started off with me talking to this one couple - no I didn't know them - and they were saying how energy efficient the houses were and then talking about something else, but I'm not sure what that was. Then I was with Lin and John over at their house and Lin and I were outside talking about I have no idea what and this young woman comes over and starts talking to me, saying she thought it was me - obviously I was some sort of local celebrity of sorts - and she said I sounded somewhat like Serena Williams except my voice was deeper or some weird shit like that *lols* XD It was soooo fucked up I haven't the slightest idea...and no, I didn't have any cocoa, chocolate or any sort of sweets before bed. I ate dinner very early that evening and it was by way of Jason's Deli - my usual, Plain Jane potato and Strawberry Cheesecake but drinking nothing but water, so...

Ok...blame the water.

Yesterday, I had a bit of a crisis on my hands - or what I thought was a crisis until I actually thought through what actually needed to be done and it turned out not to be a crisis, but it was so late by the time I figured it out, I couldn't deal with it until this morning.

All right *sighs* This is what happened - I was supposed to go to my cousin's church and see their Christmas play; however, this was unknown since we weren't sure what was going to happen with J-bear since the grandparents were supposed to pick him up EARLY that day (pay attention to that; there will be relevance to this in a bit...) not to mention I didn't know whether I'd be keeping him or if her brother in law Ken would.

I ended up getting the squirt. My phone kept ringing, ringing, ringing after 8 something that morning; next thing I know, someone is knocking on my bedroom window, scaring the begeezus out of me almost - but I did not fall out of bed thank you :p - as I went and answered the door. It was Lin and J-bear. So, she told me that she'd given the grandmother my cell number and whenever they were on their way, they would call me and let me know. Fine. Bye bye Lin.

So, I sit J-bear down and let him play Dynasty Warrior 4 Xtreme Legends (which I hadn't even played since I'd bought it that night) while I go into the kitchen to fix something quick to eat since I hadn't eaten yet and I'm starting to get a hunger headache - I fix some toast with butter and polaner all-fruit black cherry jam and some Hershey's Special Dark Hot Cocoa; about maybe half and hour or so later, Sis calls and tells me she's grabbing gift cards and whatnot. I tell her I'm here with the baby, so she says she'll stop by after she's done to tell him bye.

She shows up maybe an hour later, and so when she comes inside, I tell J-bear to come and speak and he's thinking it's his grandparents and when he sees it's his aunt, he blatantly ignores her and goes back to playing the game. I tell him that's not nice and I immediately turn the game off. He has a fit and I tell him to calm down and be nice, so then we all go into the living room. (I'd closed the door to my room) Sis and I sit down and we talk for a bit while J-bear falls out in the floor, whining and immediately says he's hungry - which Lin told me she'd just fed him before dropping him off to me - I ignore him for the time being while sis and I talk about how we've noticed the change in what a lot of people think this holiday's all about and whatnot and then what holidays we could do WITHOUT as well. Like this is what our family's doing for one another - Lita's gift to everyone is feeding us all tomorrow; mine to Lin was paying her car taxes; and Sev's to me is paying my car insurance for a month. That's what the adults do. The only ones that truly get gifts now are the kids. Lita ended up getting all of Lin's kids toys although she should've gotten them clothes, but she said she could never get ahold of her dear sister to see what they needed. I got J-bear shoes and C3 a shirt and a reversible jacket and JT some games for his educational system. Sev was trying to help Lin with finding that system for J-bear, but then she thought about it when she saw the price of it as well as the cost of the games considering Lin's financial discrepancies right now and said she'd probably try and find another thing for J-bear to get into and whatnot, like golf or something like that, which sounds like a good idea. Then we got to talking about J-bear's tantrum's that he has and whatnot and she was telling me about something she saw on Dr. Phil where they showed that the kids usually reflect what they see at home and whatnot, which I understand that well enough, but for me I'm not just trying to let them cry it out and get it out of their system and calm down, then try and talk to them. Well, after sis left, I reheated the cocoa and split it amongst J-bear and myself and let him have my other slice of toast. Then, I spoke with him about having better mannerisms around people when they say hello to him despite whatever he may be doing at that moment and to always go and greet them then go back to whatever he was doing.

Time passes...9 o'clock - 10 o'clock - 11 o'clock - 12 o'clock - 1 o'clock. J-bear keeps asking me when his grandmother's coming and I tell him I have no idea; just whenever I get a phone call from her. Well, unfortunately, his mother ended up calling first around 2 o'clock and I told her about the predicament and she was hot! Well...yeah, sorta kinda. She was disappointed that J-bear had missed his part in the play for nothing, so she said she would stop by and pick him up after she'd called them. However, right after I got off the phone with her, I hear a "beep" sound which is the type of sound we always hear when the power's going out.

Yep, the damn power's out.

And it was that way from the time she was off the phone with me, till she came and got J-bear and probably while I was napping, because halfway through my nap I looked to see my light back on in my closet (I'd forgotten I had pulled on it trying to put my clothes away), so that was ok and then I turned to my tv and my VCR screen was blank and for the life of me, I couldn't fathom why I couldn't get it reset, so after pulling all the plugs out and resetting everything on my desk and looking everything over, I gave up for a bit and went back to sleep. When I woke up, I went and got dinner and watched some more PR eps and chatted for a bit before going to bed. However, in the middle of the night when I got up, I thought to myself that I probably needed batteries for the tv remote so I could turn the tv to Ch. 4.

Well, this morning I got up about 10ish, ready to get what little bit I needed to done when my phone started ringing. It was Ny; at first I was busy trying to get going and whatnot and when I got settled into the car, I answered it after the 3rd time she'd called me back. She was just needing a job reference b/c she was trying to get her old jobs back and whatnot. I said that was fine. After that, I proceeded to call Lin not knowing if she had to go to work or not considering I didn't see her car at her apartment. No answer. So then I called Lita at work, but then I digressed and called the house. She was there! :3 So, I asked if they needed anything for tomorrow and what time they wanted us over there. After she rattled off all the stuff we're having for dinner tomorrow, I cheered and she suggested I bring some soda for tomorrow.

While in Wal-Mart, I found something for Ny's housewarming party we need to give her hopefully in another month or so and I hope that they still have some more of these dish sets so I can get her another one since they were so cheap and hopefully get some silverware in addition to the phone I'm giving her since I no longer require a house phone, hahaha. (Just kidding! XD)

So, after picking up a set of dishes, some deodorant, some AA and AAA batteries, some oil, 3 things of soda, another box of cocoa mix, and whatnot, I ended up running into one of my old coworkers from Sears ^_^ It was so nice to see her! She had her kids with her, she was doing her Christmas Dinner Shopping. I told her to be careful and not get swallowed in the madness that was today. *chuckles*

I get home and I pop the AA batteries into the remote and I try it again. I curse at it for a moment after it doesn't work and I know the remote works fine b/c I'd just used it. I look at it closely...

Dumbass, turn the battery right side down thank you much.

It works. I now have my tv, vcr, ps2 and dvd working again. Yay! n_n I can once again pwn at SC 2, DW 3 and DW 4 XL!

*nail biting* Hm...I know there's no rule against this sort of thing, but this is the first time I've ever seen such a thing happen in an RPG I've been in...it's...weird to say the least. I've noticed it and I guess neither comm has any problem with the same events happening in both, so, I won't really bother talking about it. *shrugs*

And it's sad out of all three RPGs I'm in, there's only 1 that I'm actually having fun in right now. I'm about 3/4ths of the way from dropping out of the other two; however, I will give them a 3 month lease b/c right now I know things are crazy for people and they don't have an opportunity to be on right now with finals, traveling and such, so I won't do anything...yet. However, if by the END OF MARCH, neither comm has stirred any more interest for me...that's it.

If you haven't been able to tell, I'm doing much better today rather than yesterday, so everything's cool for tomorrow night as well. I just need a solid answer from one person so I can figure out exactly who'll be going and who won't *sigh* Right now I have 4 absolute yes, which leaves me with 6 open tickets right now until I know something. If the other two don't go, I'll see if Ny and her kids want to go.

Ok, well, that's enough from me for the time being. Back to the books.

Well...I'm feeling some better thanks to sipping on Ginger Ale, but I'm still not 100% though. I'm leaviing out right after work, stopping to get gas, then home I go to soak in the tub and probably just go straight to bed. @_@

I have concluded that I DON'T have what my sister had last week b/c I'm not losing bodily fluids at an accelerated rate (to put it in 'nice' terms) and I'm not feverish or anything either, so I have no idea what the heck this is. Just a 24 hour bug or something I suppose, but we'll find out when I wake up tomorrow.

Let me tell you all something that happened just a while ago that was so funny! :3 Ok, we're all working on the project and whatnot and all the sudden up comes this VERY CUTE guy that Lady said reminded her of Paul Walker - except he had brown eyes instead of blue - and he happens to be a runner for one of the attorney offices that has a box with our office. Well, he's coming to make a certified copy and to check the mail in their box. Fine, well and good - SO! I tell him while he's waiting on the copy (it's 15 pages long), to go and check his box while he's waiting. He finishes checking the box and I give him his copy. So after he leaves, Tina, Lady and I are chit-chatting about him here and there and next thing we know - he's back. And he goes "You needed to see me?" Of course my thoughts go completely NC-17 rated, but ANYHOW!! 0:) and so I simply smile and just ask him if he found everything ok and he tells us yes and to have a good day and walks off.

We burst out laughing after he was out of earshot. We knew exactly why that had happened to - dear Hakeem. We cornered him about that after he got back from break and it did turn out to be true b/c he said we were all sweatin him and whatnot. Crazy boy. :3 But it did make all of our days and reminded me of that one time when I was younger, my sister went chasing after this man from South Carolina that was trying to find his way to some place in the fair city. XD

I've gotten just about everyone's cards done except for a few here and there. My apartment is STILL nice and neat, and it is still damn freezing here. It's only 47 today and going to be 25 tonight *shivers* Time to pull out those extra blankets again >.<;;;

EDIT:I still want my Dynasty Warriors...or maybe I'll buy Street Fighter anniversary...we'll see ^^;; I'VE DECIDED! I'M BUYING DW3 AND DW3XL! ^_^v Hee... I ended up getting DW3 and DW4 - Xtreme Legends. I thought I'd found DW3XL, but it ended up being the same thing >.<;;; *curses a mile a minute* The shop tendant said that that'll happen when people bring trades in without cases on them. I'm thinking to myself, 'Um, you ever think of looking at the damn TITLE on the CD to see what it says dipshit?!' All my hopes and dreams dashed >.<;

Well, not entirely. I got a DW game, so I'm going to shut up.

...I've been in bed half the day, not only due to exhaustion from yesterday, but in addition, effing PMS which hit me yesterday >.<;;; I also had a killer headache too, which seemed to happen after my dad and sis came over to get some of the leftover food. The bright sunlight I think is what did it. So after they left, I was online for a few moments checking messages and talking to a couple of people for a hot second before I went and lay down.

Well I didn't get back up till about 6 p.m. this evening in which I found I'd missed a couple of calls from my sis who was out shopping trying to help Lin find this toy for J-bear and whatnot. When I called back, she said she'd already gotten the info from her. And for the person on my f-list who's trying to decide b/t the Leapster and V-tech, there's no choice to be made. They're all in the same family, so worry not any longer.

We started this last year actually, so this is going to be my 2nd time doing it. What it is is that in the morning of Christmas, my dad, my sister, Lin and her kids come to my apartment and have breakfast and hang out for a while, then later on that morning we all go to Lita's and have the big meal, exchange presents and just enjoy each other's company.

So once again, I'm going to have to go and do a little bit more grocery shopping. Oh well...

OH!!! And guys...you know how I had the Christmas Song Generator up a few days ago? And you know how I've been giggling in the past about the "Honeybaked Ham" jingle? 'Oh Christmas Ham, Oh Christmas Ham, it's time to get my ham on' Well I thought about something else for us to do that's festive. How about you make a compilation from an original song about a certain item you like during the holidays (whether it be food, event or whatever) and come up with something. You don't have to do the ENTIRE song, but maybe the first verse and the chorus. (Like for me, I'm turning "Jingle Bells" into "Hot Cocoa") Ok?

Not too bad I'd say but #6 makes me laugh the hardest. Don't ask. I'm in a weird mood this afternoon.

Speaking of laugh, my coworker had me crying laughing this afternoon when she told me something absolutely silly in regards to what we're working on, but we're finding ourselves being on a backsliding slope because we're finding the order OUT of order and so we're getting a bit upset about it and so Tina goes "Wouldn't it be funny if we called and when they answer yell 'BITCH!' and then hang up?" and for Heaven knows whatever reason, I cracked up laughing for about 20 minutes straight. I was very thankful we didn't have any customers, although the phone did ring once, which we had Hakeem answer it.

Let's see...agenda for tonight:

Go to Krogers, buy pumpkin mix, a 1/2 gallon of milk, another loaf of bread, some more soup @ hand, cheese, eggs

Finish Christmas cards

Clean out closet from the mess I made in it looking for things for the kids last night

Go to Dollar Store and look for some bags, aluminum foil and one other particular item for coworkers' gifts (my dept only)

BK for dinner ♥

Wash clothes

Fix pumpkin bread

I hope Lin made it to Kmart and was able to find the V-pocket. It's a portable computer by Vtech. I'm on the phone with her right now and she said she wasn't able to get it today. They told her to check back on Monday. The only reason why she's going to Kmart is because they're half the price that they are anywhere else. Everywhere else they're $90! They have them for boys and girls and here's the problem - the girl types you can find them easily; they ALWAYS have several of them left over, but it's the boy types that are all gone.

Lady just reminded me about this one year one of her nephews had her going all over the world and back looking for a video game of sorts. She said never again *LOL* XD I remember that because she had asked me for help in finding it, but I can't recall if we did find it or not...oh well.

For the love of crap! Why the heck would you want a FIVE-YEAR-OLD who is CLUMSY as all getout and not to mention rough on shoes and clothes as is to have WHITE SHOES?! I don't even wear white shoes!!!!

But...I can't seem to find any anywhere, so he may be getting that gift card after all...

Once again, it seems I'm going to put myself on the back burner for my RPG's - well VXW and EC mainly - b/c I know most of my friends are in finals frenzy right now and whatnot and of course the holiday's are coming and some are busy with work and soforth and so on, so I'm just reigning myself inoperable until the new year *shrug* or whenever a decent plot comes up, whichever comes first

We're down to 88 days of water at this rate. Am I worried? Who wouldn't be. The important thing right now in times like this is just to have faith and be patient which are the most difficult things to focus on.

Ok, I know I said I did some Christmas shopping; however, that wasn't everything to be told.

I had planned to go by Lin's and play a few games with the kids to see if they could live up to their bragging rights - I'd let them borrow what few games I had - and so after we went around a few times with beatin the heck out of one another on SC 2, then Lin, J-bear, Isiah, Kendrick and myself loaded up in my car and went to Wal-Mart. Lin was trying to find a cribside lullaby for Isiah to hopefully sleep by.

So when we got there, Kendrick and J-bear headed off for the music/toys section while Lin and I headed for the baby section. While we were on our way there, I was thinking that maybe I should start looking for some of the gifts while I'm there. Well, after we go and only find one lullaby-like toy in the baby section, we end up going to the toys section b/c I ask Lin to help me find the V-smile toys b/c I was going to get JT a couple of games like Lita was telling me about yesterday. While we're over there, we run into an associate who shows us more baby lullabies a couple of rows over and we actually like these toys BETTER than the ripped open one we had found, so Lin picked one of those out, and I'd found a couple of games for JT. Meanwhile, Kendrick comes over with J-bear and Isiah and all the sudden J-bear is saying he needs to go to the bathroom, so Lin gets him out of the cart and tells Kendrick to take him.

Two minutes later, Kendrick comes back...alone. He tells Lin that J-bear goes off to some section over in Automotives thinking the bathrooms are that way, when he knows darn well the bathrooms are back towards where Layaway used to be. Lin goes after him and Kendrick and I watch Isiah. Lin gets J-bear and takes him to the bathroom. He had been upset earlier b/c when they were in the electronics section, all the games were occupied and he wanted to get on one and got upset about it.

they come back and we're heading towards the front towards checkout and J-bear is STILL acting terrible about the game, so first Lin tries to put him in the car, he doesn't want to sit down so then I carry him for a couple of minutes and then stop and set him down and try to get him to calm down so his asthma doesn't flare up. He does...finally.

We get checked out, but then Lin had forgotten about the formula so the boys and I go to the car while waiting on her. Isiah's fallen back asleep - well actually, he fell asleep while his brother was making a fuss - and just happily snoring away. Lin gets out there a couple mins later and off we go.

It's way past J's bedtime so Lin gets him into his routine and whatnot, and while she's doing that, Kendrick gives Isiah a bottle. That little one is a pig! No wonder his lil butt's 13 lbs now! o.o;;; He's not one to stay still though - ESPECIALLY if he's in that car seat, but I was a bit worried about him spitting up so I put on a burp cloth on my shoulder and walked around with him in the room until he burped, then I placed him in his crib so he could wiggle around in there. Lin's trying to get him broken in sleeping with them, thus the reason for her buying the lullaby. She didn't want the same thing to happen with him like what happened with C3 and J-bear in them getting used to sleeping with her. She comes in after getting J settled down and I help her to set up the crib lullaby. Isiah's on his tummy, so we turn him over on his back so he can look at the fishy and listen to the music.

After he's settled, I get on home. It's about...um...9:30 ish or so when I get home. While I'm gathering my things though, I see something extra in the floor of my car - my dad's camera case. Speak of the devil, after I get settled in the house and I'm fixing myself a quick dinner, dad had called and left a message in regards to hiding the camera where no one can find it and I'm like 'No dad, I'm just going to set it right in the passenger see where EVERYONE can see it and break into my car to steal it'.

So...here go my dreams. Yes, dreams because I have 2 of them:

First Dream:

I hear about some new cafe or whatever in town, but the only way to get there is to punch in a website through a cell phone, so a friend of mine and I go and every room you go in, it's like a different type of cafe - one cafe is like high society, another is more like a lounge, another is like a regular coffeeshop cafe. We're supposedly looking for someone, but never find them though.

Second Dream:

I'm trying to get this beautiful large vase from this other woman who is supposedly trying to kill me with it. I wanted to buy it from her, but all the sudden, she started trying to kill me with it for no unearthly reason. So after doing a bit of cat and mouse with her, I finally manage to get both pieces away from her and so then she tries to get another thing to kill me with, but by then I'm already at the front door and out and I yell back "See you later fatass!"

I don't know whether to blame the toast or the cocoa for this..>> <<;;;

Ok...you guys remember how I talked about our frig here at my office being broken right? Well we - AS AN OFFICE - are supposed to purchase another one for about $500. We only have probably about $200 and why's that? Well, one person - don't know who, ASSUMED (and you know how I hate this word) that THE COUNTY was going to buy it.

Um, hello? This is an INDIVIDUAL OFFICE. We are only categorized under the County. That DOES NOT mean they help us out with things that go wrong.

The assistant head wasn't really happy to know that people weren't contributing and thus sent out this email about it:

Their (There) was a misconception around the Registry yesterday that we were going to purchase the refrigerator through the County. That is not going to happen. Purchases of items like a refrigerator for use by employees is their responsibility. We have to buy the refrigerator. At this time we are woefully short of the money needed to buy the refrigerator. There are a few who do not use the refrigerator and chose not to participate in buying a new one. My concern is with those that do use the refrigerator and have not contributed. Her Highness* as you may already know purchased the last refrigerator and she has kindly given another $100.00 this time. I again ask all who use it to contribute. If you choose not to, I would like to know why. We cannot buy the refrigerator until we get enough money. We had hoped to get it today and have it for the holidays. Please reconsider and participate like all those who already have. Thank You.

I just realized he misspelled the first word in this, huh. And as always names are changed to protect the innocent.

It's only fair. I mean, we ALL use it, so why not everyone pitch in like $10 - there are 40+ some employees here, not to mention Her Highness has contributed $100 and His Highness has contributed $50, so that only leaves $350 (the new one would only cost $500), so it wouldn't cost very much for each of us to contribute. Why some people are being so ignorant about this is beyond me. I'd like to smack whoever made that stupid assumption and be done with it.

But this is putting a crunch on all of us that like to bring our lunches b/c now we're being forced to go spend extra money for our lunches unless you do something like eat fruit or bring a can of soup that can be heated up in the microwave, which is what I'll consend to do this week. I ran out after last week...
